are entitled to quality medical care. That is why you
chose us. Each insurance company determines its own
usual and customary fee. Many patients think their insurance
covers everything. Unfortunately, few policies do.
Essex County OB-GYN Associates,
Inc., accepts most health plans. Since each HMO plan is
different, we ask you to check with your particular plan
administrator to obtain your guidelines before visiting
our office. Please feel free to discuss fees with us and
advise us of any unusual financial problems. Please note
that laboratory tests and hospitals fees are billed separately
by that facility.
Co-payments and deductables are expected at the time of
your appointment. Since surgery may involve a significant
cost, your insurance company will be billed by us directly,
as we'll bill you for any non-covered services after they
pay. There may be some procedures that must be prepaid
and these will be discussed with you on an individual
basis.
Our Billing Office staff will be happy to explain prenatal
care and delivery fees at your initial visit. They will
help you learn what your insurance will cover.
NOTE: Should you have financial problems
that result in your delaying payment of your bill, please
contact us. We won't know you are having problems unless
you tell us. We will make every effort to work out an
acceptable payment plan to enable you to take care of
your obligation.
